Former WNBA player and Power 5 Associate Head Coach Shereka Wright was named UTA’s 10th head women’s basketball coach on Sept. 4, 2020 by Director of Athletics Jim Baker. 
Note: Shereka Wright is the first African American female head coach for the University of Texas at Arlington! 

Mary and Walter Wright are Shereka's parents.

Shereka's daughter is Lennox Latrell Wright.

Introducing 2nd Lieutenant Officer John Michael Waller, United States Air Force. This event occurred on May 8, 2020. John Waller is the first fighter jet pilot in the Minnie M. Lee family tree.
